Questions & answers
What is Clover?
Clover is an iPhone app, currently in private alpha, for organizing and searching your own health records. Add a photo or PDF, review the information Clover extracts, and keep it in your record. Ask the assistant to find information in your documents or prepare a summary for an appointment.
How does Clover organize and explain my records?
Clover reads each document and suggests a title, date, short summary and type. You review it and add it to your health record. Records appear in date order, with filters for doctors, tests and exams. Ask the assistant to find information and explain what your own documents say.
How does Clover help me prepare for a doctor's visit?
Ask the assistant to prepare a summary for an appointment, for example with a cardiologist. Clover brings together relevant information and questions to discuss with your doctor. Visit preparation links back to the original documents.
Where is my data stored?
Clover keeps your documents, records and conversations on your device. You don’t need a Clover cloud account. AI features use third-party providers, which may keep data under their own terms. See the next question for details.
Is my data sent anywhere?
AI features send the relevant documents, messages and, when you dictate, audio to third-party AI providers over an encrypted connection. Providers may keep requests and responses for a period set by their terms. Uploaded files are deleted from the provider once processing is done. Clover has no ads and no analytics or tracking SDKs. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Does Clover replace my doctor?
No. Clover helps you organize records and find information in them. It is not intended to provide new treatment recommendations, diagnose conditions or replace your doctor. AI can make mistakes, so check important details against the original documents and discuss them with your doctor.
How do I join, and what does it cost?
Clover hasn’t launched publicly yet. It is in a free private alpha on TestFlight. Tap “Request an invite” to email us. Sending a request does not download the app or guarantee an invitation. The alpha is open to adults aged 18 and over, using only their own health records. You’ll need an iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Please do not send health documents with your request.
